Monday, September 15th, 2008Tammy called today to inform me that Danni is indeed preggo as well — she is due the 18th of October. Two great litters coming up, and another one in the wings, to an Agir daughter!!

Heart check for Arras/puppy update
Thursday, September 4th, 2008Yesterday, I took Arras to NC State for a cardio checkup. What with all these girlfriends coming his way, I wanted to make sure nothing had changed. The cardiologist (Dr Keene) said that his heart looked GREAT and that there were no changes in his heart and the size and shape and wall thicknesses were absolutely normal. He said he’d have no problem taking an Arras pup! (I asked him if we should sign him up for a puppy 
). A few weeks ago, I had his thryoid re-checked as well, and it’s still perfect.
Today I am taking Arras to get hopefully his last collection for frozen semen. My goal is to have 10 frozen breeding units. I have close to 7 breeding units now, so this collection hopefully will top it off at 10.
I saw Arras’ 2nd litter with Josie over the weekend. They were 7 weeks old and just a WONDERFUL litter. They were temperament tested by a team of puppy temperament testers who go around testing working pups (for SAR, Obed, agility, etc) of different breeds. The litter was extremely uniform and lots of great working potential. All were extremely stable pups, and had great play and prey drives and all were very social. Unfortunately for us, most of the pups are going to pet homes — the breeder is a vet and has pet homes coming out of her ears - but at least one little girl will be owned by someone near Nashville, TN who is hoping to do agility and SchH. One of the little boys is going to be fairly local to me, so hopefully I’ll get to see him now and then.
I am still waiting to hear if Tori’s bitch is pregnant. She thinks she is… ultrasound may have happened Tuesday; still waiting to hear. Tammy’s bitch is only 2 weeks out now, so we’re still 2 weeks away from hearing that outcome.
